Bishop Burton College: Equine Performance Conference 2018

The theme of the conference is ‘a holistic approach to optimising equine performance’ and will encompass a range of plenary lectures from industry experts and researchers from a variety of fields. Talks will cover issues such as injury and rehabilitation, rider performance and biomechanics, nutrition for the performance horse and equine behaviour. A full list of invited speakers is included further down this page. The lectures will take place in the comfort of the Howard Petch Conference Hall, with refreshments served at each break in the adjacent Seminar Lounge. Ticket prices are inclusive of lunches on both days and refreshments at all breaks.
The afternoon of Saturday 21st July will focus on practical demonstrations taking place in the Bishop Burton Arena. Demonstrations will focus on therapy and coaching and there will be the opportunity for a small number of delegates to observe horses working on the water treadmill in between sessions on a first come first served basis. Full details of practical demonstrations will be released shortly.
In addition to invited speakers, the conference will feature a number of research presentations to provide an update on the recent advances in the area of equine performance.
